MEMORIAL WRAPPED-CANVAS COLLAGE   A very dear customer came to me to do some pictures of her recently departed 4-legged friend.  She provided several pictures that she and her husband had taken of their little fur friend from when he was a puppy to his last Christmas.  Long story short, a collage was made on 6 separate canvas wraps.  Below is only two dimensional showing the front of each wrap.  (The rest of the original pictures wrap around the sides, top, and bottom and affix on the back of each.  A hanger and "wall bumps" allow the canvas wraps to hang level and close yet not touching the wall.)  The depth of these wraps is almost 1 inch.  This collage of 6 canvas wraps, hung one-half inch apart now hangs in a 13X19 place of honor in their home.

Whether I take the pictures or a customer provides candids that may have been taken in less-than-professional circumstances, pictures can often be edited to be used if they are printed on canvas.  Canvas is very forgiving.  It is the perfect medium!
PHOTO RESTORATION   One of my customers lost all of her family's pictures years ago in a house fire.  Heart-broken because even her wedding pictures were in that fire, she was able to scavenger this one picture that her mother-in-law had tacked up on a wall in her home.  Although it had become damaged over the years, she brought it to me and I was able to print new pictures for her.  Scroll down for 4 results--black-and-white, sepia, tinted, more saturation.

UP STEAM LOCOMOTIVE VISITS NORTH TEXAS   A high-speed passenger engine, the last steam locomotive built for the Union Pacific was in North Texas April 12, 2010.  On this morning the Union Pacific steam train left Fort Worth heading south.  When it got to Mansfield, I took these pictures at the North Street railroad crossing.  The Union Pacific Locomotive #844 was pulling a line of yellow rolling stock as it steamed along on the Valley Eagle Heritage Tour.  The month-long round trip schedule began in Cheyenne, Wyoming on April 2 heading for the southernmost destination on April 13 in Harlingen, TX where it will be in display for 2 days before returning via Palestine in East Texas and ending up in Cheyenne on April 29.
Rail fans can follow No. 844 by going to www.up.com and take a look at the historical UP locomotive section.  There they can follow this steam locomotive via GPS tracking.  Train enthusiasts can also follow the 66-year-old engine on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.   To view slide show click this.

Full Lunar Eclipse
on 2-20-08, Dallas, TX

Clouds obscured many views of the full lunar eclipse on Wednesday, February 20, 2008.  However In Farmers Branch (northwest Dallas), Texas it took patience, a tripod, and a remote shutter release to capture pictures when the clouds momentarilly parted to give a spectacular view during the 7:43 to 11:09 p.m. CST window.

Now you may get your own print on quality satin photograph paper.  Price for a 13x19 poster is $20 (plus $1.65 tax in Texas).  Shipped in a mailing tube add $4.00 for handling.
Locals please note--I will deliver to CFBISD schools at no handling fee.  And you must specify if you want it to read Farmers Branch, TX specifically instead of Dallas, TX.
